Beware of the shipping bug! It’s the passion you get once you have entered the maritime industry that makes you never want to leave.
It’s the people within the industry that makes this world so interesting, they make things happen and they are always fun to listen to. Opinionated people with a lot of knowledge. They are maritime professionals, have strong characters and usually an interesting background. Their jobs are very cool, they do things the rest of us hardly can imagine.
Listen to them in the Shipping Podcast and get fascinated, discover the shipping industry, or get some new insights about an industry in the middle of a new paradigm.
“I am your host, my name is Lena Gothberg”
If you have listened to the Shipping Podcast, you know my voice, you know that I have taken upon myself to get the shipping industry more visible as I have been tired to always have to explain to everyone I meet, what the shipping industry is. Everybody is talking about the fact that we should raise the public awareness, but no one does anything about it. In July 2015, I started this podcast, which now has become a success.
I have been working within the industry for more than 25 years and I always meet interesting people with a story to tell. Inspired by my shipping friends, and my new friends in the digital space, I decided to spread the word about the coolest industry on the planet and help raising the profile, all by myself.
The shipping industry is a peoples’ business, maybe that’s why I like it so much, and now you can finally listen to the voices from the maritime industry, talking about their passion for their jobs, what they think about the future and what they think about the current state of our industry.
I use social media to spread the word about the Shipping Podcast, try Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. If you want to get in contact with me, I am lenagothberg on most platforms.
Thank you for listening, spread the word about the #shippingpodcast and together we will reach my goal; to get a podcast about shipping trending on iTunes! Kudos if you share the Shipping Podcast in your own social media channels!
